Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)
Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) delivers fibre broadband to the street cabinet in which the copper telephone line in your premises
connects to and in turn, this copper line delivers broadband from the street
cabinet to your premises.
Current Maximum speeds for a FTTC connection is 100Mbps.
It’s important to note that the distance from your premises to the street cabinet and
the quality of the telephone line connecting both will have an impact the speeds you experience.
The further this distance and the poorer the quality of the copper line, the slower
the speed you are likely experience.

Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL)
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) broadband uses an OpenEir provided copper line to bring broadband up to 24 Mbps into your home.
It’s important to note that the distance from your premises to the street cabinet and the quality of the telephone line connecting both will
have an impact the speeds you experience. The further this distance and the poorer the quality of the copper line,
the slower the speed you are likely experience.

Fixed Wireless Metro
Fixed Wireless Metro is a broadband service delivered to your premises following the installation of a small radio antenna high up on the outside of your premises.
This radio antenna communicates over a licensed frequency to a base station on which Digiweb has deployed a Master antenna which in turn is connection to the Internet.
The maximum speeds customers experience on this Metro network is 30Mbps.
Customers may also experience some contention, communicating with the Master antenna on the link
between the base station and the radio antenna on their premises which will slow their Internet speeds.
Customers may also experience some contention, communicating with the Master antenna on the link
between the base station and the radio antenna on their premises which will slow their Internet speeds.
The Fixed Wireless Metro products we offer are:

Metro Freedom Wireless 30 |
Metro Freedom Wireless 10 |
Satellite
Satellite Broadband is a broadband service delivered to your premises following the installation of a 0.9m Satellite dish, at your premises.
The dish on your premises communicates with a large satellite which is orbiting the Earth around 30,000km away.
This Geo stationary satellite in orbit beams the signal from your premises back to earth where it
connects to the internet and your request is returned to your premises in a similar manner.
The maximum speeds customers experience on this Satellite network is 20Mbps.
Customers on a satellite connection may experience a latency (the time a signal takes to travel from earth to orbit to earth and back again) as well as some contention,
communicating with the Geo stationary satellite, which will slow their Internet speeds.
The Satellite products we offer are:

Surfer Satellite Broadband |
Tooway Business Satellite Broadband |
General Information on Broadband Speeds.
At point of sale we’ll provide you with an estimate of the maximum download speeds your chosen broadband service will deliver.
This information will also be displayed in the welcome email we send you.
Due to many factors the Maximum Download Speed provided at point of sale and confirmed in the welcome email may not always be available,
however the speeds you could expect to receive most of the time when accessing the service (Normally Available) are set out in the table below.
They are based on a percentage of the Maximum Download Speed we’ve quoted in your welcome email and the Broadband Service you have chosen.
These speeds are also based upon a direct cabled connection from your device to your modem I.E not over Wifi.
